How to make civilian control of the elections explained at the studio of NEWSROOM Dimitar Kutsarov from Association ‘Bulgaria is You!’.
‘The difference between a champion of civil party and the observer is that the latter can visit several sections. So far we have registered over 860 people. We’ll cover the areas from which alerts have come – Vidin, Smolyan, Burgas, Yambol, etc. We have neither time nor resources to cover all sections, but with 2,000 observers, for example, will cover 10,000 units. Our idea of this kind of control is not new, but because of the extraordinary elections we simply did not have enough time to get organized’, said Kutsarov.
.
He strongly opposed to the parallel census made on the initiative of several opposition parties. According to him it is pointless spending money. ‘In my opinion 80% of the vote-trading has already taken place. Our people will act totally incognito. Our report will be presented in the media, to the authorities and to Brussels’, said Kutsarov.
